Design-driven boutique crashpad rocks hotel fanatics, chic travelers' (vintage argyle) socks. Hip, brilliant touches like a book on kama sutra where you'd expect the bible, and a vending machine filled with Japanese snacks. Front-deskers wear skinny ties. Bathrooms in the deluxe suite are hidden behind rotating walls. Starting to get it? The perfect crash pad for the hipper-than-thou tourist, or hotel junkies of any stripe. Clean, spartan and modern rooms painted MOMA white with aluminum accents might be a little much for timid travelers, but we say: aces, all the way.
