Longtime staple on Great Jones Street is where you ate when you first visited New York lo those many years ago and made the life-changing decision to move here. Then it closed, and you felt a painful little wince of nostalgia. In the much welcomed new ACME, the cajun menu is a thing of the past, but chef Mads Refslund's "new Nordic" menu has plenty of pleasant surprises. Steak with onions, duck in a jar just two of many stellar picks. The cocktails are no less inspired, with creative takes on gin, vodka, and whiskey and fresh ingredients like basil.
