The only uncomfortable part is the ski boots. Instead of the granola-laden gondola ride, fill food cravings with a “Double Double” burger courtesy of the best après bar in town. If the food and beer selection stinks, which is doubtful, Aspen Mountain is 10 steps away for redemption. Regardless of exhaustion levels, the “Tavern” serves cocktails and après grub to fuel even the most frail skiing participants. Classic dinner plates such as scallops and organic chicken surprisingly refined for ski-in grub.
