Alison Eighteen

Editorial Review

Alison Price Becker's new Alison Eighteen (named for its street location) will eschew fads, instead concentrating on cosseting French-inflected American dishes culled from local green markets and farms. To wit: Grilled Quail Risotto, Petite Pot Au Feu, rotisserie specials, and Warm Chestnut Honey Cake. A take away bakery counter will be positioned at the front of the restaurant. Expect interiors that are correspondingly inviting and homey, yet lacking any preening old-timey pretensions—think bright terrazzo floors, walnut tables, and purple leather banquettes.
