We don't know what's more appealing: the custom cakes in the window in the shape of Chuck Taylor shoes, hatboxes and fancy purses, or Alliance's coffee-and-klotchke cafe. Their non-bakery items are made in the morning en masse and can be hit-or-miss. Polish pastries like paczkis are a better bet. They could only taste better if they were molded in the shape of turntables or stilettos.
