Gallic from its excellent coq au vin and escargots through to its overstuffed and noisy dining room, Almond offers consistently satisfying country French with out pretension (or white table clothes). The homey wooden interior and caberet-colored red wallpaper don’t do much to make the place any less boisterous, but who’d want it any other way. in addition to better-than-usual bistro fare, the kitchen serves one of the better burgers around.
