Alter's new women's shop moved across the street to make way for more menswear, and thank goodness for it.  Greenpoint's answer to Barney's rocks tightly edited selection of small-label, vintage and reworked vintage clothing for Area Man. Though there are now two shops on either side of Franklin Avenue for respective genders, androgyny reigns on the Northside.  Check the Alter blog for the latest in catchy phrases hand painted onto tiny tees.
