Amarcord

In 2000, Amarcord opened its doors in the East Village, selling high-end vintage to a fashion community thirsty for YSL, Gucci, and Alaia. Today, the retailer owns a warehouse space (appointment only) and outpost in Williamsburg in addition to a sparkling new flagship right across from Odin on Lafayette. The East Village shop is now overstock only, which means you can find mid-range vintage pieces for reasonable prices. It's cozy and quiet and, even though it might not stock coveted monogrammed clutches, it'll always be numero uno.
