BlackBook Lowdown

Probably the only place in the area with valet parking, Amendment XXI does draw in more yuppies than the other watering holes in this area, but the more discriminating hipster set hangs here too. Can't help but love the royal court-style chairs, fancy plush couches and subdued lighting that make for a perfectly comfortable evening. There is a kitchen and food, but for the most part, this is a spot for booze and boozy dancing. After all, the name does refer to the repealment of prohibition. Tuesday nights here belong to Jesse Jackson, the best troubadour in town. He holds court with several sets of boot-stomping badness with his rag-tag band.
