The anti-Cipriani (which is around the corner) for decent value, real-deal Italian cuiz. Elegant, rustic, warm feel with lots of wood, antique touches, and soft lighting. Small, bustling bar in front spills into vast, buzzing room in back. Engaging staff vibes out with crowd that feels way more local than most others in the area (like aforementioned Cipriani). Rabbit, roasted dorade, black-olive tagliatelle all solid enough. Choc ganache to complete the look before heading up to designer Jerry Tam's afterparty on party-dude Eric Pharis' ragin' rooftop (look for the tall girls heading upstairs and follow them).
