How this place ended up in the the Guardian and Gourmet magazine, we'll never know. It's a beautifully scuzzy dive bar in the middle of a mixed arty/immigrant quarter. If you like that sort of thing (we do), it's one of the best terrasses in the city for watching the buzzing Belleville scene go by. Waiters are friendly, drinks are cheap, and the locals have fierce quartier pride.
