Banners is where local media types go for cocktails, while their children draw (crayons are supplied), holler and gobble fishcakes beneath Cuban cigarette ads, and posters of Dylan and Joe Strummer. Great for breakfast – green eggs and ham, huevos rancheros, huge English fry-ups – it’s equally brilliant at night, when you can indulge in fish curries, jerk chicken, and saltfish and ackee to a just-loud-enough ska soundtrack.
