If you thought your local music venue was the “sweetest spot” to catch the biggest acts, take another look. Life-size pictures of previous bands cover every inch of wall space when you walk into the 400-person capacity of Belly Up. Snoop, Ben Harper, and Paul Oakenfold fans should be ass-kissing owner Michael Goldberg for bringing world-class acts to this dank basement in downtown Aspen for a reasonable fare. Hang back in the “first-come, first-served” seating with bar food and drink service, or jump around in the trenches dodging Stephen Marley’s man-mangling dreads.
