At first glance, Benkiraï seems like just another retro-Asian inspired, 40-room, garden- enclave, boutique hotel frequented by Saudi oil tycoons and financiers from London. And, yes, the eucalyptus aroma might get to be a tad much… But two bites into head-chef, Oth Sombath’s delectable Thai creations and a sip of your Lychee Martini, underneath an opal parasol- and you’ll begin to appreciate. The Zen generated by Patrick Jouin’s Benkiraï-wood and clay colored hit is inescapable.
