Bistro Zinc's bright red, trolley-car-esque facade is hard to miss. So much the better for the shopping wanderer who stops into this modestly priced bistro. Beyond the large, open-air windows in front, a cozy atmosphere awaits with hanging lanterns, white tablecloths and servers distinctly un-Parisian in attitude. Start with classic French onion soup and move to a smoked ham and gruyere cheese omelet, or Zinc's fantastic steamed mussels. French music complements their excellent wine selection.
