A speakeasy-inspired bar outfitted with a DJ, live music acts, and mixologist-crafted cocktail menu, the buzz about BlackBird Ordinary calls it "anything but." Probably because of this morsel of novelty: you get to pick out the kind of ice cubes they put in your drink. Choose from half-inch cubes, nugget ice, and 2x2-inch cubes. Tuesday nights' weekly Lifted party brings in the crowd with its debut of lauded local DJs. Owned by the Purdy Lounge folks, this hangout is far less dirty and features far more attractive bartenders. Out with macho muscle flaunters, and in with the punk and talented attractive bartenders. This is a Bird worth tweeting about.
