Chicago » Restaurant » Uptown » Sushi
The neon Open sign on the outside and the strip-mall locale makes one think of a laundry mat, but venture inside Uptown's latest sushi joint and you'll be surprised by the crisp, mod interior of grays, blues and lime. Selections are as bold and inventive as the weird dangly fixtures and coral mural crawling along the walls, like the hamachi kama (grilled yellowtail collar with citrus soy, served with a Japanese mint salad and asparagus). Plenty of overstuffed maki rolls to choose from, but we suggest the Red Dragon (tun over soft shell crab, avocado and asparagus in citrus sauce). BYOB... for now.
