Open air patio overlooking the Hudson. Locals come to drink beer, chow on burgers and, oh yeah, there's that whole water/nature/sunset behind the skyline of Jersey thing happening, too. Sprawling, breezy, and pleasantly loud. Limestone arches and vaulted ceilings of the indoor rotunda effect Medieval feel, in a good way. Usually crowded with often spotty service, but where else can you get this view? Your cement-wall-courtyard-facing apartment? For fair-weather friends only—closed November through May.
