Texans take their steaks seriously and Bob's Steak & Chop House is a favorite for good reason. Although Bob himself is no longer with the restaurant, he built up what has become a staple in town. Obviously the draw here are the always-perfect steaks, but there's also an array of seafood and other items for those who seem to be stuck in the wrong place. Bob's is also where you'll often see celebrities in town who have heard the good word and many traveling business folks who want a taste of the town. Although the place could probably use a facelift, its old oilman cigar bar feel serves it well. If it's an authentic Texas steakhouse you're looking for, there might be none better.
