New York » Restaurant » Uptown Manhattan » Italian
Lot of tomatoes, plenty of basil, a risotto of the day: like much of the UES, nothing new going on at Brio, but dependability, a diverse enough menu, an intimate space, and (unlike the UES) relatively reasonable prices. Worth dropping in if you're in the hood to visit family and craving some old-school Ital with a decent vino selection. Room is intimate enough to earn the nod over larger spots; do it on the patio if the weather's right.
