Buddha Bar

Editorial Review

Less of the IT crowd, more of the shit crowd. Young socialites decorated in Ed Hardy attire and the obligatory “don’t you know who I am” sunglasses worn indoors. Luckily the interior in this Grosvenor House bar is far more attractive than the clientele. Unpretentious nouveau Asian designs. Gargantuan chandeliers. Draping velvet curtains. Reflective sheer glass for self-approval. An impressive array of pricey cocktails. Bites are pricy, yet delicious (particularly the tempura, great when washed down with sake). Unfortunately, the restaurant stands where a dance floor should be. Book dinner for guaranteed admission.
