Café 28

Editorial Review

Expect to make at least one U-turn while trying to find this Cuban/Mexican spot practically hidden off the Ravenswood L tracks. But once you're there, you'll be glad you choose Cafe 28 for that first date. If the tasty mojitos and caipirinhas don't impress, the food will, with standards like the ropa vieja (fall-apart beef simmered in garlic tomato sauce) and almond-crusted halibut. Don't leave without trying the pistachio cake.
