Café LaGuardia

Editorial Review

This truly Cuban restaurant complete with real palms and loud décor is a transplant from a town called Bainoa just outside Havana. When the owner flipped Fidel the bird and headed to Chicago in 1970, he took his Cuban home-style recipes with him. You can go for caipirinhas in the lounge or head to the dining room for whole-fried red snapper and Cuban sandwiches. The dishes aren't exactly starting a revolution, but we've never had a bad mojito here.
