If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Since 1956, this bare bones coffeeshop has been serving espresso, latte and cappuccino to locals from all walks of life. Stodgy businessmen, socialists and starving artists are united by their love for a strong, hot cup of java. Like a scene out of a Fellini movie, chaos rules supreme: the coffee machine is always whirring and the somewhat surly staff are always yelling at each other or the clients, in Italian, of course. Pinky rings and hairy knuckles, rickety wooden chairs, bar stools that spin and proscuitto sandwiches just like Mama used to make. Viva Italia!
