From the popular weekend Brunch Mexicana to Lebanese-influenced specials and a global chef-in-residence program that changes seasonally, Nuba’s menu reads like a stamp-filled passport. Beirut Bouillabaise is a perfect warmer in rainy weather, and don’t miss Najib’s Special, their signature spice-rubbed, roasted cauliflower. Meats are halal, non-medicated and hormone-free, with plenty that’s vegan-pleasing and gluten-free, but carnivores needn’t despair. Terrific beer list, from Lebanon to the Yukon (and East Van, of course), and one of a very few spots outside Quebec offering La Maudite on tap. Save room for the chocolate ganache with fleur de sel and Espelette chili.
