Alexandria's faux Mexican fiesta adds a shake of habanero to Logan Circle's staid brick façade. Famous brain-freezing mojitos out faux-poets-as-fratboys staring down the big-haired, loud-mouthed Shakira-loving women. Red pleather chairs and Oaxaca-color scheme warms the scene. Menu is the Motorcycle Diaries of Latin flavors, matching ceviche to empanadas to saucy tamales, finishing off with some Caribbean cooking revolution. Salsa beats gets whitey drunk and dancing faster than you can say "borracha." Gentrified, half-Salvadoran neighborhood still speechless.
