Marooned in the bleak landscape of tourist-trap-rip-off-North Beach Italian a restaurant, Puccini is an oasis of un-pretentious, well priced, god sent Italian grub. Serve yourself at the counter; grab a table with a cozy view of the euro/domestic parade clamoring past with vacation zeal. Copious anti pasta platter with razor thin pancetta, fried eggplant and homemade pesto a top-sliced tomatoes. Dinner plates got family style proportions, fresh pastas dressed in simple tomato, meat, rabbit and pesto sauces. A lasagna molten with cheeses and sauce in Vesuvius bake dish. Curb the post-pasta coma with delicious cappuccinos. Don’t miss this spot.
