Bastion of laid-back cool on corner of ho-hum block in the ‘loin. Plush velvet couches, snazzy wine list, live jazz/tango/folk, book and poetry readings, rotating art, and decent bar food. Pool table where players who suck can shoot and not be embarrassed. Eclectic mix of attractive artsy types in mellow pickup scene. Quiet candle-lit second floor overlooks the first. Feels goods, looks good, is good.
