Hole-in-the-wall way out by the beach serving the city’s best Cajun/Creole: gumbo, jambalaya, etouffee, crawfish beignets. Pecan pie even. Beer is cold, tables and walls are covered with old New Orleans music memorabilia, and zydeco on the stereo ties it together. Like a dream about the French Quarter, but with surfers munching on po’ boys at next table. Limited hours and days, so call ahead.
