The first thing that hits you when you arrive at Can Marti is the deafening sound of silence a million miles way from crowds and throbbing beats. The very reasonably priced hotel run by Isabelle and Peter Brantschen comprises of three self-catering whitewashed old stone apartments in a farmhouse plus a separate stone cottage overlooking the almond, fig and olive terraces. Solar panels supply the electricity and waste water is filtered through reed-beds in true Permacultural fashion. Organic breakfast offers homemade bread, jams, and yummy fruit juice. The local village is only a ten-minute walk away or bikes are provided free of charge so you can cycle to nearby sand dunes.
