Fried grasshopper appetizer a badge of authenticity for alternative Mexican cantina/bistro. Sorry, not Mexican but Oaxacan. Adjective peppers menu liberally, pronounced like "whoa" and "wacked." Also, mole rhymes with ¡Olé! and it's chocolate soup for your chicken (and the soul). Gourmet tacos wow the mouth. Appetite-inducing orange entryway avoids cheap look thanks to post-modern Aztec art, rustic tables inside. Good girls wear their dangliest earrings, remember 1993 spring break and let a shoulder slide.
