Gothic wooden doors lead into an ominous bar and restaurant whose stain glass windows and wooden beams resemble a haunted church—albeit one with great facilities. Surprisingly the crowd, majority media types, add light to the room. Gossip is shared and office affairs started after wine and dine deals. While gourmet snacks are served at the bar—giant wedges and satay skewers—it’s the gastro cuisine in the dining room that can create Hermes style waiting lists in peak season.
