Cook Werner Herzog’s shoe circa 1980, drink some Bandol, break bread with Berkeley radicals, drink some more Bandol, build organic empire and they will come. Pushing two decades of seminal eats that fed the revolution. What more can be said of Alice Waters and her everlasting gobstopper of perfection? Politics you can eat with a fork, but we prefer the grilled monkfish wrapped in pancetta with pinot noir sauce, spring vegetable ragoût, and new potatoes.
