BlackBook Lowdown

Located in a vintage downtown bungalow, Chicago Joe's serves old-school Italian comfort food. Funny, friendly waiters bustle through tchochke-crammed rooms bringing more red wine and garlic bread to go with your chicken parmigiana or veal marsala. The clientele is largely local, power-lunching during the day, bachelorette parties and couples on dates make up the evening crowd. Closed Sunday and Monday.
