Don’t let the corny name or seedy location put you off. Taking advantage of the desert heat, Chill is a rooftop bar for the elite scensters. Less expat brats and more Londonite cool. Designed by the architect behind Chi@ the Lodge and Keva. Low-level cushioned seating is large enough for the raucous crowds, and comfy enough for romantic tête-à-têtes. The ethos behind Chill is to do exactly that. Check emails – there’s free wi-fi; get a tan; indulge in the lengthy drinks menu or do all three in the al fresco club. While fake grass and IKEA furnishing scream of an image crisis it still possesses an enticing charm usually missing in its pretentious counterparts.
