Chizakaya

Editorial Review

The izakaya trend of Japanese pub fare finds a home in Lakeview with this chic, neighborhood restaurant. Former chefs from Japonais and L20 are behind the seasonal small plates menu of chicken meatballs, puffed pigs' ears, spicy shisito peppers, and blue crab congee. Attractive wooden tables and ornate Japanese ceiling murals may keep you comfortable long into the night, but it's the elaborate cocktail program and extensive whiskey and sake list that will have you unable to get up from your seat.
