Old school rec center has papi (indoor) futbol for kids and their dads, karate, and some of the best and cheapest eats in the area. Lunch time scene gets old time, shit-talking regulars munching on perfect milanesas, bife de chorizo, home made pasta and washing it down with cheap vino tinto "baptised" with club soda. Palermo cool kids and stray tourists take in the scene and wonder why there's no balsamic and olive oil for their extremely basic carot and egg salad. Did we mention it was no frills? There's very low-key, real deal tango some nights and always a wait. Oh, and they do not get down with tomato for some odd reason. Bonus points if you get a shout out from local roustabout "El Gallego Lechuga."
