Only an Italian could get away with opening a Focacceria and a neighbouring gelateria and still make it appealing. New venture from L'Anima restaurant chef Francesco Mazzei more than delivers on its tasty promise. Although you can eat in, take-aways are recommended as it can get a little cramped inside. All made in the shop, fresh filled crusty Italian breads, soups and salads won't disappoint and you will get your fair share of southern Italian pastry specialities. Delicately layered and deliciously light native sfogliatelle are to die for and if you pop next door you will surely love the plum and apricot sorbetti or vanilla ice cream with lashings of nutella.
