Editorial Review

A mandatory stopover for all those on the Gossip Girl tour of NYC—it's the place where 'Vanessa' works, but, for the record, not in Williamsburg (neither, for the record, is the Humphrey apartment—it's in DUMBO—but who's counting?). Has all the hipness of anything in the 'Burg, though, sans pretense: it's a petite teashop with a massive selection and some pretty decent bites (the pressed paninis are, for the cheap few bucks they'll run you, huge and solid for taste). Afternoon tea service is cheap, a nice way to kill a few hours. Real draw here, though, is the free WiFi, which brings freelancers, screenwriters, and downloaders of every stripe in here for the afternoon; come at off-hours, lest you be forced to play the waiting game for a table.
