Las Vegas » Hotel » Strip: Central » Lux
The Cosmopolitan considers itself a casino first, a dining/nightlife destination next and a casino last. The result is an extravagant yet intimate hotel with the kind of bars and tables the Rat Pack only dreamed of: Vegas for the next millenium. The casino's glass walls offer Strip views, but the crystal, mirror and black-glass surfaces have a glitter of their own. Restaurants include NYC imports like Blue Ribbon Sushi and Scarpetta, as well as LA's Comme Ça. The Cosmopolitan plays up the nightlife, with clubs like Marquee and the Bond DJ lounge; live music ranges from big names like Jay-Z at the Boulevard Pool and Best Coast playing a four-night stand at the Book & Stage. A conference center, spa, two gyms and three pools are available for business and/or pleasure. When you're finally ready to relax, rooms are done in soothing blue tones, virtually all with private balconies. High-tech gadgets, one-way bathroom windows and Strip views add a bit of flash.
