Taking her inspiration from the theatres that surround this centrally located boutique favourite, designer Kit Kemp has created a relaxing, 58-room space in which dressmakers’ dummies and striking flock prints vie for attention with fairytale beds and opulent chandeliers. It draws an upmarket, fashionable crowd with a keen sense of humour, who knock back cocktails and dine on Modern British dishes such as braised beef and oxtail, and crisp baby squid in buzzing Brasserie Max.
