BlackBook Lowdown

Even Rocco had to start somewhere. Dine on creations of wannabe chefs in cavernous, antiseptic dining room with production kitchens in full swing. So the ambience is kinda like a Vegas buffet, and the dishes are inconsistent. But hey, it’s cheaper than you’d get elsewhere (slow braised maple syrup short ribs for only $15 bucks!), the ingredient quality is top-notch, and you’re helping the rookie effort. Grand Buffet Fridays are a fat man’s fantasy.
