Butter-soft red leather chairs, warm wood and glass lend a casually elegant backdrop to uberchef Daniel Boulud’s inspired menu of bistro faves. Soups, salads and seafood burst with freshness, the signature foie gras and short rib stuffed burger is a decadent four napkin delight, and bottles of Pilsener are a bargain by any standard at $4. Not to be missed: the perfectly balanced flavors of the pheasant tortellini, almost architectural desserts and the jaw-dropping “bamboo” tile floors in the restrooms.
