Team behind beloved Beretta and Starbelly are definitely on a roll; they set their sites on the Marina with a similar Roman-style birreria/pizzeria. Arguably the niftiest space in the neighborhood, with industrial cement, stained walnut surfaces and several long communal tables to better know your fellow diners. May not challenge SF pizza supremacy (still Delfina's crown), but certainly a worthy competitor: nicely charred thin-crust pies with fresh, savory cheeses and toppings. Love the basic Margarita, spicy marinara with burrata, and fennel & sausage. Gets busy weekday nights and absolutely crammed on weekend nights.
