Double Door

Editorial Review

Younger, grungier sister club to now-stately Metro, Double Door rolls out its dingy welcome mat for local bands nightly, hosting a show or two a month with larger acts such as Kings of Leon, M. Doughty, or Frank Black. When big bands want to get intimate -- really intimate -- they head to this black, 500-capacity room with three bars, a balcony and Prince's old sound system. (Chick flick heartthrob Dermot Mulroney is one of the partners.)
