Draft Picks

Editorial Review

On the border between the once-happening West End area and the up-and-down Victory Park area is a nice, upscale sports bar - appropriately titled Draft Picks - that is fitting place for a suite pre-party or put of town game viewing. With beautiful girls serving as hosts, servers and bartenders and big screen TVs everywhere you turn, this a for sure a guy's guy kind of place. The gem in the middle is a 19-foot movie screen and stadium seating. There are plenty of places to lounge and the bar area is open and inviting. The food is standard bar food: nachos, chicken wings, burgers, etc., but the chicken pot pie and Frito pie stand out as something different, even if they are pretty bad for you. The crowd is great on a basketball or hockey night, but off nights and UFC/wrestling/boxing nights are another story. Overall, it's a safe best for good viewing and solid bar food, which suits most sports fans just fine.
