Tucked away in back street off St James, no pomp just splendidly understated. Centenarian hotel tastefully renovated in 2007 in quintessential English style. Worth a detour and second visit. If not inebriated on martini, ask to take a trip up to the penthouse for glimpse of pure sky-high sophistication.
