Good, cheap and greasy, like your date last night. No, this is way better. The 'morning after' scene where club kids get their fix on eggs and bacon, pancakes or blintzes, before the hangover kicks in. A whole other crowd converges as the day wears on: the same old guy who sits at the counter every Sunday morning reading the paper, the young family crammed into a booth before they hit the slopes on Mont-Royal for tobagganing, the emerging artist whose placemat doodles might be worth something one day. Peter, the owner, keeps the flowers blooming on the terrace in summer, the hot coffee flowing in winter, and the tunes on the hi-fi bopping, no matter the season. A classic.
