When the most salient feature of your restaurant is the water view, it makes sense to make the building nearly translucent. And ENE's just about achieved that with wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Fort Pond, one of the largest bodies of freshwater on Long Island. While the room is soothing, warm and inviting, the menu is something of a pan-Asian muddle. Those whose stomachs don't turn ever so slightly at the thought of tuna tartare, chowder, Peking duck tacos, roast chicken, Japanese hot-rock steak, and fried tapioca pudding - all in the same spread - will surely enjoy themselves.
