Mike Stollenwerk, former Fathom Seafood House chef/owner, hands off the Girard Avenue corner bar to his Fish sous-chef vet, Rob Holloway. The reinvented haunt, now identified in brief as The E.G.G., still houses the same main focal point—a 24-seat bar that takes up over half the interior. The unpretentious, neighborhood joint also continues to host a raw bar station, but the petite seafood selections are now served up amongst prime drinker's grub (think tacos carnitas, ricotta pierogies, and sunny egg-topped burgers). Seasonal classic cocktails join the mostly-beer drink program, including a Green Tea Hot Toddy for winter months.
